DIAN Staking Guide

How locking up DIAN earns you KDU rewards, and why longer commitments pay more.

How staking works

In the Stake widget on the Token Access page, choose a lock duration and stake an amount of DIAN. Your DIAN stays locked for that period, and you earn KDU as a reward — credited as locked KDU, which you release afterward through the Unlock widget. Staking is an on-chain transaction on Polygon Amoy, so a small amount of test MATIC is needed to cover gas.

Lock durations and rewards

Five lock tiers are available, each with a different reward rate:

Lock DurationReward Rate
Flexible (1 day)0.3% APY
7 days2% APY
30 days7% APY
90 days15% APY
180 days30% APY

Why stake DIAN specifically

DIAN is Kardian World's governance and asset token, hard-capped at 5,000,000,000 with zero initial supply. Staking is one of the primary ways citizens put DIAN to work between governance actions — converting a governance holding into a stream of KDU, the token that actually pays for labor, services, and infrastructure inside the world.

After you stake

Once your lock period ends, your DIAN becomes available again and your earned KDU sits as locked KDU, ready to release through the Unlock widget — either gradually at no cost, or instantly for a 5% DIAN fee.
