A step-by-step look at how the early DIAN airdrop works, and how it fits into Kardian World's wider token design.
The airdrop rewards founding citizens with free DIAN. Connect your wallet in the Claim widget on the Token Access page, and if you're eligible, claim 1.5 DIAN. Each wallet can claim once per day, up to the campaign's total pool of 100 claims. It runs as an off-chain reward tracker, so there's no gas fee to claim — and per the whitepaper, Kardian World is free to start: new participants can begin exploring without holding any tokens at all.
DIAN is Kardian World's governance and asset token — it's used for proposal creation, DAO voting weight, Kard Council candidacy, land and development rights, and cross-region trade. It is hard-capped at 5,000,000,000 DIAN, coded as a constant that no vote can change.
There is no function that mints new DIAN from in-world activity. Day-to-day economic activity — wages, commerce, selling pressure — has no path into the governance token, because that value moves through KDU instead. This is a deliberate firewall between the two tokens, described in the whitepaper as keeping power over the world and payment for work economically separated by design.
Once claimed, DIAN can be staked for locked KDU rewards, used to submit or vote on DAO proposals (proposal creation requires a minimum DIAN stake), or held toward land and development rights as more of Kardian World's nine lands open up.
